Dimes Superette Will Offer Dry Goods, Produce, and an Apothecary in the Original Dimes Spot

Expect a liquor license and an expanded menu down the street at 49 Canal.

The ever-fashionable Dimes duo Alissa Wagner and Sabrina de Sousa send Eater some vital updates on the changes ahead for their sweet L.A.-style cafe. In the past year, the ladies say they have outgrown the tiny space, so they will be moving Dimes proper just down the street to 49 Canal Street, where Cochinitas Dos will cease slinging tacos tomorrow. Here, the team will have a full liquor license, more seating, and a proper kitchen so they can expand their current menu.

Meanwhile, the original space, will be transformed into the superette named on the Canal Street liquor license application (not the other way around). The shop will feature "a market with a selection of organic seasonal produce, dry goods, and an apothecary," says Wagner. Plus, there will be prepared food, and a "brand new take out menu." The move won't happen until the pair transforms the taco shop, however, so you it will still be a little while for the Dimes apothecary to be in residence.
