Chefs Club, Food & Wine's permanent pop-up restaurant project will open the doors to its public on November 21. The space, with paintings of chefs' facing smiling down on diners and a giant chunk of rock salt hanging from the ceiling, is definitely odder looking new dining rooms to open this season (but then again, Alex Stupak installed a rat sculpture with pointy breasts at Al Pastor). Chef's Club will feature a rotating menu crafted by guest chefs from around the country, four a year. First up, Lachlan Mackinnon-Patterson of Colorado's Frasca Food and Wine. The space in the Puck Building also has a private dining room for guests chefs in town for less than the quarter residence the main space requires. Reservations are available via Open Table or by calling the restaurant directly at (212) 941 1100
