Jimmy Bradley's beloved restaurant and brunch spot The Harrison will shut its doors this December after the holiday because of a sharp rent hike, reports Grub Street. The restaurant, which Frank Bruni gave two stars to in 2008, was the first spot to open in Tribeca after September 11, and is credited with helping bring back people to the neighborhood after the attacks. Bradley will continue to operate The Red Cat, his other restaurant in Chelsea, which just passed the 15 year mark. Farewell, schmaltz fries.
Update: Tribeca Citizen hears that the restaurant will officially close on December 19.
