Andrew Carmellini's newest restaurant, Little Park in the Smyth Hotel is almost set for its reveal. It will start serving on Thursday. The menu — which promises to be hyper-local — is still top secret, but according to a recent release there will be a buttermilk-brined half poussin with freekeh and brussels sprouts, an aged Long Island duck breast with duck sausage, and black kale ravioli with squash and pine nuts (otherwise Carms has promised "kale restraint").
And while the dining room is all daytime colors and mid-century style, the hotel will also be home to Evening Bar, a speakeasy also run by Carmellini and team, tucked away behind the lobby's fireplace. And Carmellini promises that, unlike other hotel bars, this one will be open to everyone, not just people staying at the Smyth. Check back soon for more details.
