R Bar, the divey, stripper pole-clad Bowery bar down the block from Pearl & Ash closed only two weeks ago, but members of the Pearl & Ash team are already at it, getting ready to open their new restaurant, Rebelle, in the space. According to Bowery Boogie, the bar has been completely gutted, and butcher paper is lining the windows.

Pearl & Ash's GM Branden McRill, sommelier Patrick Cappiello, and co-owner Alessandro Zampedri, are bringing Daniel Eddy of popular Paris restaurant Spring to New York to open the restaurant next spring. Earlier this year when Eater talked to the team, they were already mulling over a new restaurant, but so far details on what Rebelle will be like are scarce. Still, the name and the chef suggest something French, and with Cappiello, its safe to expect a pretty epic wine list. Rebelle, 218 Bowery
