D.b.a, a New Orleans-themed bar, will serve its last glass of cask beer at its Williamsburg outpost on Sunday, reports Gothamist. The bar announced that there would be a "drink the inventory party," on Sunday after the Saints-Steelers game, but didn't offer a reason for the closing. Two owners, Dennis Zentek and Ray Deter, passed away in recent years, Zentek, just this past March.
Despite news of the shutter, there seems to still be hope. The East Village location doesn't appear to be going anywhere, David McWater, who also owns part of The Library, DOC Holiday's and a few other neighborhood bars, just successfully renewed d.b.a's liquor license. Plus, the Brooklyn outpost's Facebook page will stay active just incase the owners can find a new space. 113 North 7th Street, Williamsburg
