Mission Chinese Food is in full-on recipe testing and tasting mode with the help of San Francisco super baker — or as one Instagram commenter calls him "the Bread Jesus" — Chad Robertson. Danny Bowien and Robertson have been logging some serious hours together in the kitchen:
The pair pulled a pizza out of the oven last night that was a bit more elegant than the mapo tofu pie the duo made before with David Chang. Bowien also showed off his skills, making a scallion pancake/flying noodle.
Meanwhile, Danny Bowien's still staffing up, so an opening is likely still a little bit down the road.
