Angelo Romano, who garnered the The Pines a star from the Times, will take the reins in the kitchen at Concord Hill, the new American restaurant from part of the Westville team. The restaurant is slated to open sometime before the weekend in the old Sel de Mer space, reports Grub Street. Romano's been a free agent for more than a year and is now dedicating himself to an all day veggie-focused menu with a few lunch and dinner specials thrown in like a double cheeseburger. There will also be some pretty serious bread topped with things like smoked sable and daikon, and used in sandwiches like a chicken French dip. Westville partner Jay Strauss, who is part of the team behind the restaurant told Eater in September that they will: "serve the kind of food that we always search for when we go out to eat...composed seasonal veg and a nice piece of meat.... It will be a destination for some but mostly it will be a neighborhood place where we hope to see the same faces several times a week."
