Morgenstern's Does Thanksgiving Pies; Del Posto Hosts an Elaborate Truffle Celebration

LOWER EAST SIDE — Morgenstern’s is getting into Thanksgiving mode with creative takes on classic pies in flavors like pumpkin pie with a sugar cone crust and salted caramel custard pie with a pretzel crust. Pies range from $36-$52 and will be available for pick-up from 8 a.m. to 11 p.m. on the day before Thanksgiving. Orders can be placed online starting tomorrow. [EaterWire]

CHELSEA — Del Posto will host its annual Festa di Tartufi (feast of white truffles of Alba) on November 21 at 7 p.m. The celebration offers two different experiences: the $700 festa table and the $1500 vintage table, each offers a seven course dinner topped with truffles, but the wine pairings are different. Tickets can be purchased here. DOWNTOWN BROOKLYN — Hill Country pit master Ash Fulk and founder Marc Glosserman are offering classes on how to butcher, season, and smoke brisket on November 22. Tickets for the event cost $60. All who participate will be able to retrieve their brisket the following day. [EaterWire]

EAST VILLAGE — The Gobbler, DGBG Kitchen and Bar’s nod to Thanksgiving, has reemerged for the month of November. The turkey burger is topped with of grilled radicchio-pumpkin seed slaw and cranberry ketchup, and is served atop a rye brioche bun.
