Piora Adds a Small Tasting Menu; Sons of Essex Hosts a New Orleans Speakeasy

Laotian restaurant Khe-Yo launches lunch and brunch; CENA supper club's next dinner.

WEST VILLAGE — Piora recently added a two and three course savory tasting menu to its offerings, priced at $55 and $75 respectively. Dessert can be ordered separately. [EaterWire]

LOWER EAST SIDE — Sons of Essex is hosting a monthly dinner series called Lulu's Dove House. The evening starts with a meal from Fette Sau and Breslin vet Chris Mitchell and then moves into a raucous party that's inspired by a old school New Orleans speakeasy. All inclusive tickets cost $95. TRIBECA — Laotian restaurant Khe-Yo recently added lunch and brunch. Lunch options include wings made with Sriracha hoisin and thai basil, and a few rice bowls topped with options like pork belly skewers or crispy caramel catfish. For brunch there's a Laotian omelet made with Chinese sausage, garlic, dill, cilantro, and soy sauce. [EaterWire]

TRIBECA — Supper club CENA is hosting a dinner with Honest Chops and The Lobster Place on November 22. The five course menu includes truffled egg toast and wine braised oxtail. Tickets are $120. Expect to share a table with strangers. [EaterWire]
