Galen Zamarra's hyper-local micro-seasonal remake of Mas (la grillade) into Almanac will debut next week, on November 18. The restaurant's name and idea come from the personal journals Zamarra has kept since he worked at Bouley back in the late 1990's. The newly redone space, we're promised, has a more farmhouse-y feel to it, a lounge, a concrete bar, and reclaimed wood-covered walls. Dinner can be ordered a la carte or as a three, five, or eight course tasting menu that will change daily based on what is available in the market. Reservations can be made by calling the restaurant at 212-255-1795. 28 7th Avenue South
