Via Carota Lit Up Grove Street Last Night, as Williams and Sodi Train Staff

Hot off firing up the ovens for the first time and throwing a party for 100 guests at Via Carota, Buvette's Jody Williams and I Sodi's Rita Sodi are deep into staff training, as their much anticipated Italian joint project readies for opening in the West Village. Pedestrians walking by the restaurant at night might see a stocked bar, staffed by bartenders and servers in uniform. But alas, it is just a dress rehearsal. Williams tells Eater that the restaurant should be open in a week or two.
