Giulio Adriani has closed the dining room at Forcella and is no longer slinging Neapolitan in the East Village, reports Bowery Boogie. A Slice of Naples, the adjoined take out counter specializing in pizza al metro, remains open. Adriani opened Forcella in 2011 and added the take-out counter last year. Pizzaiolo Adriani has had a roller coaster ride in the last few years. He opened NYC's first fried pizza restaurant, the ill-ifated La Montanara which closed early last year, as well as three locations of Forcella. The empire is now down to two restaurants: the Williamsburg outpost and the one on Park Avenue.
