Blue Bottle Bryant Park Is on the Way; Cider Week Dinner at The Pines

All Hallow's Eve dinner at Aureole, and Yuji Ramen wants to open a fish market.

MIDTOWN WEST — Blue Bottle is getting close to opening its roomy cafe across from Bryant Park. When it opens (likely later this fall) the space will be decked out with a drip bar and a mini keg filled with iced coffee. Stay tuned. [EaterWire]

WILLIAMSBURG — Artisan ramenya Yuji Ramen, which is now operating out of Okonomi in Williamsburg, is looking to finance a fish market with the help a Mission Street Grant. Pig and Khao is also vying for funding, which is determined by votes. [Twitter]

GOWANUS — In celebration of Cider Week, The Pines is hosting a five-course dinner on Sunday, October 26. Cider makers Andy Brennan, Jeremy Hammond, Joy Doumis, and writer Rowan Jacobsen will make an appearance to talk about their work. The set menu with pairings costs $80, highlights including Red Wattle pork jowl with squash and ginger; and pasta with cider-braised rabbit and maitake mushrooms. MIDTOWN WEST — This Halloween Aureole is hosting an All Hallow’s Eve Masquerade Dinner with Krug Champagne. The restaurant is promising a five course menu with dishes such as Hamachi crudo and Maine lobster tortellini. Tickets cost $185 per person, excluding tax and gratuity. [EaterWire]
