Mission Chinese Food's opening date is still shrouded in mystery, but it looks like when the restaurant does open, there might be wood fire roasted items on the menu. Yesterday a chef was spotted roasting something in Rosette's old pizza oven, and about six weeks ago, Danny Bowien and Tartine baker Chad Robertson from San Francisco rechristened it. Who knows, maybe there will even be pizza. It's unlikely, but then again, Bowien has never shied away from wildcard dishes.
