"Speedy Romeo LES" has an application listed on the November CB3 agenda. Sounds like the Clinton Hill favorite is looking to expand.

From a liquor license application listed on November's Community Board 3 agenda, it looks like hit Clinton Hill pizzeria Speedy Romeo is eyeing a Lower East Side expansion. One "Speedy Romeo LES" is applying for a full liquor license at 63 Clinton Street, former home to Cube Sushi.

In Brooklyn, Speedy Romeo consistently turns out excellent wood-fired pies (pizza blogger and general expert Adam Kuban is an avid fan), and is also possibly the only pizzeria in the city to serve a St. Louis-style pie topped with provel (a processed mix of Swiss, cheddar, and provolone cheeses). The chef, Justin Bazdarich, also doesn't skimp on the non-pizza options: there are dishes like a steak, a whole roasted fish, and a solid burger on the menu. And for what its worth, the restaurant made regular appearances on the last season of Girls.

Eater has reached out to the Speedy Romeo team for confirmation. Stay tuned.
