The team behind the plush Chelsea speakeasy Raines Law Room has just announced plans to open a new outpost in The William hotel in Midtown. Head bartender Meaghan Dorman will serve a cocktail menu very similar to the one she offers at the original, although this one promises to have a "slight emphasis on Old Fashioneds." According to a press release, the decor will be "inspired by European bourgeois houses from the 19th century," so imagine that too to be similar to the original. Unlike the Chelsea location, however, this lounge will also serve small plates alongside the cocktails, although no word yet on what sort of food that will be. It's also still unclear whether you'll have to ring a doorbell to get into this new one.

No word yet on an exact opening date, but expect it to be within a few weeks. When it does, it will join The Peacock and The Shakespeare, respectively the British-influenced restaurant and casual pub on the first floor and basement level of the hotel. 24 E 39th Street, Midtown.
