Andrew Carmellini, Josh Pickard, and Luke Ostrom's project Little Park finally has an opening date and it's soon: November 6. The 85-seat restaurant, which is taking over the old Plein Sud space in The Smyth Hotel, will be a departure from the rich, comforting foods of Carmellini's existing restaurants and will feature lighter, more healthful fare, plus beer specially brewed for the house and bread made from the leftover spent grain. Everything will be sourced hyper-locally with a focus on "the origins and specificity." But, don't expect a kale salad. Carms promises kale restraint in an interview with T. "I'm a fan of kale in moderation, but there's too much of it...Recently, I saw a kale martini." 85 Broadway, Tribeca
