Sunday Gravy Dinners Start at Hearth; All'Onda Launches Brunch With Plenty of Truffles

Vendy Award finalists stop by La Marqueta and The Spotted Pig hosts special guest dinners.

EAST VILLAGE — Hearth is launching a Sunday Gravy dinner this weekend. Through the end of the year the restaurant will offer a four course traditional Italian feast served family style on Sunday evenings. Dinner is $55 a person and $20 more for beverage pairings. [EaterWire]

WEST VILLAGE — The Spotted Pig is hosting three cookbook-inspired dinners. On October 29, Thomas McNaughton of San Francisco's Flour + Water will serve pasta dishes from his Flour + Water cookbook. On November 4, Portlandia creators Fred Armisen and Carrie Brownstein will offer up some recipes from The Portlandia Cookbook, and the following night Cal Peternell of Chez Panisse will prepare a three course meal from Twelve Recipes. UNION SQUARE — All'Onda is launching brunch this Sunday. The menu includes avocado toast, farro salad, and a poached egg over polenta with mushrooms. There's also an $85 brunch that features four truffle-adorned dishes. [EaterWire]

HARLEM — The Street Vendor project is bringing several Vendy Award finalists and other local vendors to La Marqueta on five Sundays starting this weekend. The lineup includes Khoa Man Gai, Snowday, Martha's Gorditas, and more. There will also be live jazz music at the market. [EaterWire]
