Brooklyn's Duet Bakery Spawns a Brasserie in the Old Centro Vinoteca Space in the West Village

The prime real estate where Centro Vinoteca once stood on Barrow Street finally has a new tenant, a French restaurant called Duet Brasserie. The seven year old Centro Vinoteca, where Anne Burrell and Leah Cohen once cooked, closed 18 months ago and has been vacant since. The replacement, which is an offshoot of three year old Duet bakery in Mill Basin, Brooklyn, looks almost ready to open with tables and chairs set up. The team was looking to hire staff about three weeks ago and a clerk at the bakery says the restaurant will open in about two weeks. 37 Barrow Street, West Village
