City Grit Is Up and Running at Louro; American Cut Launches a Bar Menu with Chicken Nuggets

WEST VILLAGE — City Grit, the culinary salon run by Sarah Simmons, is back from a hiatus and now hosting dinners in Louro. During the first week of November, it will host three dinners with various chefs from Madrid. The team is still searching for a new permanent space. [EaterWire]

TRIBECA — Marc Forgione is launching a bar menu this week at American Cut. The short menu offers shishito peppers, Buffalo chicken nuggets and wagyu sliders. [EaterWire]

SOHO — A loft space has been transformed into a Moroccan souk complete with traditional home goods and decorations. Guests admitted to the space are also invited to 20 person modern Moroccan dinner prepared by Scott Edwards of Estela. The evening costs $125 and the souk will remain open through October 30. SOHO — Lure Fishbar is morphing into a haunted pirate ship for Halloween, complete with servers dressed up in "pirate, siren, and wench costumes."
