The Midtown outpost of Maison Kayser is conquering the recently vacated LT Burger space at 8 West 40th Street, reports a tipster. The French chainlet already operates a takeaway shop and cafe in part of the space, but according to employees, the new addition will put an additional 160 seat restaurant under its umbrella. Maison Kayser serves a cafe-style menu at a few of its locations around the city with several salad and sandwich options, plus a tartines and a handful of larger plates like poulet au citron confit, and a lamb stew with root vegetables, so it's likely that this will be similar. Eater has reached out to the MK team for details.
Update: A representative sends word that the new space will open in January and run services from 6:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. daily.
