Empellon al Pastor Will 'Sneak Attack' Open Tonight

This afternoon at a NYCWFF panel titled Expecting the Unexpected Alex Stupak revealed his own surprise: his highly anticipated taco restaurant, Empellon Al Pastor, will soft open as early as this evening. Stupak also set the record straight when asked if he would be serving "traditional" al pastor tacos:

Everyone asks if we're going to do traditional al pastor. And I say, what is that? I just spent four days in your city and could write a spreadsheet on the variants- the only constant is pork on a tortilla.

The restaurant is expected to open at 6:00 p.m. for dine in only and close as late as 2:00 a.m.
