Like many other restaurants across New York City, clubby Flatiron sushi parlor Sen is taking a break right now. A tipster writes in: "Just walked by the 21st Street location of Sen and noticed a sign in the window that they are 'closing for construction and renovation.'" The OpenTable page is dead, and the team left a message on the answering machine: "We are currently closed for renovations and look forward to opening with a fresh look." Sen opened a little over a year ago with a menu from Yasuda vet Hiro Sawatari.
If you spot a restaurant that recently opened or closed in your neighborhood, please shoot an email to the tipline, or drop an anonymous message in the tip box.
