The new Brooklyn outpost of Hill Country Chicken is now up and running, after a quiet, early opening right before New Year's. The Brooklyn menu is pretty much the same as the Flatiron original, but it's not open for breakfast, so no breakfast tacos or chicken and waffles.

Meanwhile, the Brooklyn outpost of Hill Country Barbecue Market is getting ready to open right next door. Provided everything goes as planned, it should start serving barbecue this Saturday, with a few new additions to the original menu. All the new items are highlighted in the menu posted below, but one particularly notable one is the family-style whole hog supper served on Sundays. Hill Country Barbecue will also house a music club for hosting Hill Country Live, a series of Roots, Americana, and Alt-country concerts.
