MIDTOWN — Oceana is launching breakfast for the first time on Monday. On the menu are dishes like a lobster benedict, a BLT omelette, a bagel with house-cured gravlax and cream cheese, and banana pancakes. Breakfast will be served Mondays through Fridays from 7:30 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. [EaterWire]
GREENPOINT — Nick Korbee, the new chef at Nights and Weekends, has finished revamping the menus, and will start serving them on Monday. Brunch dishes like the bacon and egg chilaquiles have been given an update, while the dinner menu is almost entirely new, with dishes like callaloo stew and mojo pork ribs. Plus, the restaurant will now be open for breakfast and lunch seven days a week, instead of just on weekends. Check out the new menus, below. [EaterWire]
TOUGH TABLES —Here's a look at Damon Baehrel, the Earlton, NY restaurant that Bloomberg claims is the world's toughest reservation. Chef Damon Baehrel serves elaborate tasting menus out of the basement of his home, and has managed to rack up a waiting list that "stretches well into the back half of this decade." Eater National has Bloomberg's video profile of the chef, in which he explains his philosophy and his "native harvest" cuisine. [~EN~]
