According to papers filed with the CB3, the applicant for the 7A space is Paul Salmon, one of the restaurateurs behind West Houston hit Miss Lily's, and Joe's Pub in Noho. As you may recall, there was a recent rumor that Josh Pickard and Serge Becker were planning a Southern restaurant for this space. Pickard, Becker, and Salmon are all partners in Miss Lily's and Joe's Pub, so it would make sense for all three of them to be attached to this new space. Pickard/Becker have yet to confirm the rumors about 7A. More details on that project as they become available.
Meanwhile, EV Grieve notes that DeRossi Global has applied for a liquor license at the Odessa Cafe & Bar space. This is the same group behind Gin Palace, Amor Y Amargo, and Death & Co., to name a few, but no word yet on what they plan to do with the space. All will be revealed at next month's CB3 meeting.
