An employee at Boston's Mandarin Oriental Hotel has confirmed that Daniel Boulud will be taking over Asana, the hotel's restaurant. Eater Boston reports that Aaron Chambers, the opening chef at Boulud Sud (and a 2013 Eater Young Guns semi-finalist) will be Asana's executive chef. Chambers left Boulud Sud back in December, at which point reps told Eater that he would be "spearheading a new project" this year.
Boulud has quite a massive international restaurant empire, but besides a couple restaurants in Florida, this will be his only U.S. restaurant outside of New York. He officially takes over in September, although Chambers is already in the kitchen at Asana. No word on whether the name will stay the same or change to one of the Boulud standards.
