EAST VILLAGE —Lavagna's 15th anniversary is this Saturday. In honor of the big birthday, the restaurant is putting some old favorites, like grilled calamari stuffed with shrimp and lamb shank with polenta and cabbage, back on the menu for the month of February. [EaterWire]

BEERWIRE — Brokelyn's annual Beer Books went on sale today, with one version for upper Brooklyn and one for middle Brooklyn.
