CARROLL GARDENS — Seersucker launched a Monday night guest chef series this week. Upcoming guests include Vivian Howard, of Chef & The Farmer in North Carolina, and Jason Alley of Richmond's Comfort and Pasture restaurants. Rob Newton will cook alongside his guests, and is offering a limited number of seats for the dinners on OpenTable. In other Seersucker news, the restaurant is nixing weekday breakfast. [GS]

WEST VILLAGE — To celebrate the opening of its 100th location, the original Murray's Cheese on Bleecker Street is giving away free grilled cheese sandwiches (the classic Murray's melt) to the first 100 people who ask.
