As expected, East Village stalwart 7A closed after business last night. Although it was freezing yesterday, there was a line out the door for brunch and the dining room stayed packed into the evening. As a special treat for customers, the restaurant offered a "$4 on everything" happy hour all night. No word yet on why 7A closed, but Josh Pickard and Serge Becker are rumored to be taking over the space with plans for a Southern restaurant. EV Grieve rounds up sad tweets from fans, and takes a look at the history of the corner space.
