Here, now, is an early look at Narcissa, the farm-to-table restaurant in The Standard East Village from hotelier/nightlife guru Andre Balazs and Dovetail's John Fraser. As you may recall, this part of the building formerly housed Faustina, The Trilby, and Table 8, but it looks like Andre and John might have finally fixed the space. It's a whole different ball game now.
Fraser is working with a rotisserie here, so expect lots of roasted meats and vegetables, including some items made with produce from Andre's farm upstate. Diners that attended friends and family meals earlier this week were raving about the Greek-influenced lamb, the barley with clams, the duck, and the carrot fries. Stay tuned for the full menu later this week.
If everything goes according to plan, Narcissa will open for business tomorrow night. Here's a nice long look around:
