Unsurprisingly, food delivery orders go way up when the weather is nasty, and often tips do too. During the polar vortex earlier this month, most neighborhoods tipped five to ten percent better for food delivery, and in one part of East Harlem, 24 percent better than usual. The New Yorker also reveals that Natureworks, a health food lunch spot with two locations, got more Seamless orders during the vortex than any other restaurant. [New Yorker]
