EMM Group Looks to Finally Settle Finale's Problems

The EMM Group's Bowery venues The General and Finale have been open for less than a year and a half and have seemingly dealt with a decade's worth of legal headaches. The owners have already had to shutter one mini-club, deal with short shut downs over permits, and most importantly, battle constantly with the neighboring condo board, the Community Board 3, and the State Liquor Authority to determine if they even have the proper liquor licenses to operate The General and Finale in their current states.

EMM is now scheduled to appear before the SLA on January 22 to respond to the litany of charges stemming from last fall. But before the hearing, they are going to reappear before the Community Board 3 to plead for a cabaret license, most likely to be able to demonstrate to the SLA that they have worked out any and all issues with the community. Will it work? We'll find out soon enough.
