Brunch at Golden Cadillac; The Breslin's Super Bowl Party

EAST VILLAGE — New-ish 1970's-inspired bar/restaurant Golden Cadillac is launching brunch this weekend. As with the dinner menu, the dishes are inspired by 1970s issues of Gourmet, and include a burger, eggs benedict with smoked duck, and "huggy bearcakes" (chocolate chip pancakes with honey butter). WEST VILLAGE — All next week, beginning this Sunday, Mas (la grillade) is offering a deal on half a dozen grilled oysters plus a glass of wine for $15. The oysters come paired with a different wine each day, and the deal is available at both lunch and dinner. [EaterWire]

NOMAD — The Breslin is hosting a Super Bowl watching party with fried chicken and beer. For parties of five or more, a fried chicken feast is $50 per person, and includes duck fat-fried chicken, slaw, champ, salad, biscuits and pie. Buckets of six beers run from $40 to $45, or get a $30 pack of Narragansett for $100. For reservations email superbowl@thebreslin.com. [EaterWire]

VIDEO INTERLUDE — Here is some footage, and plenty of photos, of Eric Ripert, Anthony Bourdain, and José Andrés, sombrero-clad, riding horses on the beach. It's all part of their grand entrance at the Cayman Cookout, Ripert's annual beach party. [~EN~]
