Here's a look around The Clam, the new West Village seafood restaurant from Market Table's chef/co-owner Mike Price. The menu features riffs on East Coast seafood house favorites, plus New American dishes that wouldn't be out of place at Market Table. Options include cherrystone clams stuffed with pancetta, roasted Brussels sprouts with bacon and peanuts, fried rice with seafood and pork belly, and spaghetti with clams. Joey Campanaro is a partner at The Clam, but Mike Price is the main creative force here.
The Clam is now in soft-opening mode, so you might be able to snag a table if you swing by, but the team is not operating on a regular schedule yet. The grand opening is next Tuesday, January 21. Take a look around:
