Colicchio and Carmellini Sign on for Philadelphia Resort

The Provence; Carmellini;

Developer Bart Blatstein has just brought on Andrew Carmellini and Tom Colicchio in his proposal for Provence Resort & Casino, a massive complex in the works in Philly. Should the proposal win the bid, each chef would operate a restaurant in the development, the first foray into Philly for both of them. In a press announcement, Colicchio says he's excited to open in the "blossoming dining mecca" of Philly, while Carmellini adds, "This city has become known for having some of the most adventurous and ambitious diners in the country, and I can't wait to cook for them."

There's no word on what either restaurant would be, should the proposal win out. It's a safe bet that Colicchio's will fall into one branch or another of the Craft family, but since Carmellini's range spans from Locanda Verde to The Dutch to Lafayette, all bets are off on this new spot.
