The West Village IHOP that nobody ever asked for appears to be in its death throes. Jeremiah Moss notes that a giant "For Lease" sign recently appeared in the window on the corner of Carmine and Varick, which suggests that the days of all-you-can-eat pancakes there are numbered. The fact that it lasted less than two of the 49 years on its lease means that, contrary to certain doomsdayer predictions, the West Village hasn't died just yet.
