When: Sunday, 1 p.m. to 6 p.m.
Where: Tørst
What: Check out Tørst's new Sunday pig roast. They will be serving pork shoulder along with sides like pickled red cabbage, and cranberry beans with rapini for $15. $5 more will get you a beer wash it all down- pretty sweet deal considering their well curated, quality selection of brews.

When: Today, 12 p.m. to 3 p.m.
Where: Mugs Alehouse
What: 12 IPAs will be put to the test at the third annual Mugs Alehouse Mystery IPA Contest. The beers are tasted blind and the the one that gets the most votes will be available on draft at the bar for the next six months at the bar. Tickets are $30 and they cover the price of the beers and some local snacks, like SlantShack beef jerky .


Pushcart.jpg3) Coffee Tasting: In Season Now
When: Today, from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM
Where: Pushcart Coffee
What: Up your coffee game with a class at Pushcart Coffee. Taste and discuss three coffees that are currently in season and get a demonstration of a special brew method.The class lasts for an hour and then it's discounted drinks from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM, buy one get one half off all beer, wine, hard cider and kombucha on tap. 4) Sunday Pho
When: Sunday, from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m.
Where: Grindhaus
What: Warm up with a bowl of pho (only available on Sundays) at this Red Hook hotspot. Chefs Aaron Taber and Leon Douglas make their pho West coast-style, with beef broth and sliced eye round.

When: Sunday at 1:00 p.m.
Where: Jimmy's No. 43
What: Professionals chefs and amateur cooks will submit over ten cassoulets and you get to pick the best. Tickets cost $30 and includes the price of your first drink.

Also of Note: If you can handle getting ice cream in this kind of weather, check out the new soft serve flavor "Cinnamon and Lesbians" at Momofuku Milk Bar (inspired by a song title, no cinnamon covered lesbians involved). The special only runs through Tuesday so get it while it's not so hot.
