CENTRAL PARK — On Thursday, September 12, the Wildlife Conservation Society will host Sip for the Sea, a sustainable wine and food tasting to benefit the New York Aquarium, which is still struggling to recover from the impact of Hurricane Sandy. CRONUT MANIA — The new Cronut flavor for September is fig and mascarpone, and when it debuted on Monday. Zagat took the opportunity to film a handful of people trying their first Cronut. Among those people were Danny Bowien of Mission Chinese and Daniel Holzman of the Meatball Shop, both of whom are now Cronut fans. [Zagat]
CRONUT BURGER MANIA — The Toronto bakery responsible for creating that cronut burger that gave everybody food poisoning will soon reopen. Health inspectors determined that Le Dolci's maple-bacon jam, which Epic Burgers and Waffles used in their knockoff cronut-burger mashup, was to blame. The restaurant has been given the OK to reopen.
