GREENWICH VILLAGE — Babbo is now serving a variety of dishes made with those delectable fresh white truffles. Mario Batali's restaurant is offering a duck egg appetizer and a pasta course made with truffles, but guests can also add them as a supplement to any dish. A multi-course white truffle tasting menu is available as well. Also, Babbo's sister restaurant Otto is serving a white truffle pizza for $75. [EaterWire]
SOHO — Dominique Ansel's newest creation is the Gingerbread Pinecone. The chef tells Eater National: "I was working on a different idea using super-thin pieces of chocolate with cream and cake in between. It just wasn't working out right, so instead of layering the thin pieces of chocolate in a stack, I started building them around the cake, and it looked like a pinecone." Eater National has more details. [Eater National]
CHELSEA — From now through September 30, Terroir on the High Line is serving two New York-brewed German-style beers, plus sausages for Oktoberfest. A beer and sausage combo is $15. [EaterWire]
