Here's a look around The Chester, an all-day American restaurant in the Gansevoort Meatpacking NYC hotel from the one, the only Sam Hazen. Most diners know him as the chef at Tao and Veritas (his current home base), but Hazen also spent years in the kitchens of storied New York establishments like La Cote Basque, the Quilted Giraffe, and Tavern on the Green. His menu includes things like artichoke dip, flatbreads, a Maryland lump crab cake, a lobster Cobb salad, buttermilk fried chicken, and a "Chester burger" made with a Pat LaFrieda patty. The restaurant is being operated by Paige Hospitality Group, which also runs The Ainsworth and Southampton Social Club.
