Heidi & Extra Place Quietly Close for 'Renovation'

East Village sister establishments Heidi and Extra Place are both currently closed. EV Grieve notices that a sign now hangs in the window of one of the adjacent restaurants that explains: "Dear customers, we are momentarily closed for renovation." Extra Place is already listed as closed on Yelp, and its website is down. Calls to both restaurants go straight to voicemail, with no messages on either line. Extra Place opened with a menu of Mediterranean fare, and Heidi offered Swiss food. As EV Grieve notes, the CB3 denied a liquor license renewal application for Extra Place in July.
