White-Clad Revelers Have a Massive Picnic in Bryant Park

Last night, hundreds of people put on their finest white duds and headed to Bryant Park, the site of New York's third-ever Diner en Blanc party. This pop-up flash mob started in Paris 25 years ago, and is now held in several cities around the globe each year. Participants that registered online received a message yesterday afternoon about the "secret" location for this year's party (Bryant Park), and then they brought their own food, drink, tables, and chairs to the site. Pearl and Ash's Patrick Cappiello was pouring wine at the event last night, and Gramercy Tavern's Michael Anthony stopped by too. Here are some pictures of the scene:
