Calling all prosciutto aficionados: the Parma Palooza is coming to New York.
On Thursday, September 26th at The Wythe Hotel in Brooklyn, Danny Bowien of Mission Chinese, Ryan Hardy of Charlie Bird, Sara Jenkins of Porsena, Sean Rembold of Reynards, and many more of the city's top chefs are all coming together to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Consorzio del Prosciutto di Parma, the world's most famous ham. And you can, too. Purchase a ticket via Underground Eats and join the extravaganza.
The chefs' creations, freshly sliced Prosciutto di Parma, and paired wines—courtesy of Vinissimo Selections—will all be available for guests to sample. Partygoers who vote for their favorite dish will be entered to win dinner for two at the winning chef's restaurant. For those truly obsessed with fine pork products, a tattoo artist will be on hand to ink Parma Crowns onto any willing participants, who will each take home a full leg of Prosciutto di Parma in exchange.
