TRIBECA — Blaue Gans is celebrating Oktoberfest from September 20 through October 5. MIDTOWN — Now through the end of October, Benoit's sommelier Andre Compeyre is offering a special selection of Bordeaux wines by the bottle in the restaurant's private dining rooms. Guests who book a private room will get a chance to pick from his curated list of "Top Pours," all at reasonable prices. [EaterWire]

FOOD TV — Eater LA editor Kat Odell went on The Chew today to promote Eat, Drink, Love. After making some shrimp toast for a pupu platter, she weighed in on the trends of the moment: cupcakes and small plates are out, doughnuts and "cookies the size of sugar cubes" are in, and weird food mash-ups like the ramen burger are "super in." Eater National has the video. [~EN~]
