According to a message on its answering machine, Betel Bar and Kitchen, the three year-old West Village Thai restaurant, has shuttered as of today. The restaurant's original owner, Australian chef Adam Woodfield, earned some early buzz for his upscale Thai street food, but he left earlier this year and was replaced by chef Foone Greene. Despite some love for the food, price was a common complaint here, with entrees that hovered between $25 and $30.
