Oyster Happy Hour at Atrium; Tacos at Porsena Extra Bar

DUMBO — Atrium DUMBO is launching an oyster happy hour. Now oysters are $1 apiece from 5:30 until 7 p.m. every day, plus there are some drink specials to go with them. [EaterWire]

EAST VILLAGE — Porsena Extra Bar is bringing back its Tacos Domingo taco night this Sunday. As always, it's two tacos for $7, and this time the menu includes lobster tacos with chipotle mayo, and fried hibiscus blossom tacos with poblanos and crema. RANTS — In a recent interview, chefs David McMillan and Frédéric Morin of Montreal restaurant Joe Beef were highly critical of cool kid food fests like René Redzepi's annual Copenhagen conference, the MAD Symposium. They both pulled out of MAD and Feast PDX this year, because, as Morin explained: "I don't think that we think is important enough, sitting on a log in the middle of a circus tent talking to people about it...
