Torrisi and Rubirosa Return to the Feast of San Gennaro

The Feast of San Gennaro, a 10-day spectacle that is loved and loathed in equal measure, begins tonight in Little Italy. As they have done in years past, the team from Torrisi Italian Specialties will be serving an unusual assortment of comfort foods, including Tobasco tots, Chinese-style ribs, eggplant parm sticks, and a baos stuffed with Italian pork sausage. Mulberry Street charmer Rubirosa is also back at the fest this year. General manager Bari Musacchio tells Eater that the crew will be baking eight-inch pizzas in an oven out on the street, and the stand will offer, "a few surprise specials throughout the week."
