Brits get ready: Chop Shop, Michael White's new London collaboration with local restaurateur Will Guess, soft opens later this week, and there's a White Label burger on the menu. Up until now, White's square-shaped, custom-blend Pat LaFrieda burger was only served at Ai Fiori, but now he's taking it across the pond. The news comes via the restaurant's Twitter account, which has been sharing all sorts of juicy details about White's newest baby. Just this morning it posted a glimpse of the full menu, which also includes a nod to Osteria Morini with a side of "Morini Meatballs." Besides that, the "butcher-shop inspired" restaurant will serve a mix of London and New York-influenced dishes, with a focus on steaks and chops.
Chop Shop will soft open for dinner this Thursday, and stay in previews through August. The official opening will be some time at the beginning of September. But counting the soft opening, this makes for three restaurants on two continents within the span of four months for the unstoppable White and the Altamarea Group, and two of them are steakhouses at that. After this, Osteria Morini in Washington, DC is up next in the Great White World Domination scheme, and if it opens by the end of the summer as planned, it will bring his total up to four restaurant openings in as many months. That will be followed by a Nicoletta in DC sometime this fall, and then it's off to take on L.A.
